Koi fish tails are red and they are swimming on top of the water

Fist check ur water quality,if the water smells bad u have to change about 40% of the waste water, and look for any white or red spots on the fish body(in its fins,mouth...anywhere) or for any fin or tail rot ,and if there is any it could be of bacterial or viral attacks, then treat the fish in 5% of pottasium permagnate water for 5 minutes then in clean water with little solid salt(such as a tea spoon in a litre)or use medicines available in aquariums..observing ur fishes atleast for 5 minutes daily or twice a week, not putting ur hand in water, change water from bottom 25% twice in a week, cleaning fish nets with pottasium permagnate afer use, putting little amount of solid salt in water reduces diseases and improves life span of ur fishes.if u like this plz rate my answr.
