Is dog food made from other dogs and cats

I don't think anyone can give a clear answer, but if it is used it would more likely turn up in cheaper products. It's probably wise to carefully read the ingredients and I'd be more concerned with toxins than anything else. We have a cat that won't eat meat, only dried food and because he is so finicky we try to find food in which the first ingredient is chicken or meat rather than corn or any grain--which is not a natural food for them.
