I'm having trouble with my tetra filter

Metal hose clamps and aquariums do not mix. If you want a hose clamp for your fish keeping hobby, do a google search for "plastic hose clamps" that basically look like an alternate type of zip tie. They are very handy with aquariums, but most people at hardware stores have never heard of them, even the large chain stores. You\'re more likely to find them at a quality aquarium store.Considering the filter you\'re asking about does not show a picture of a hose, I presume you are referring to the rigid intake tube falling out. How you fix it depends on where it is falling out from. You can purchase replacement parts, in the case that the tube is defective and too narrow for where it is supposed to connect to the unit. A permanent solution would be to use aquarium silicone to glue it in place, however this would mean you would not be able to remove it unless you wanted to repeat the process and silicone it again and again. Remember if you do decide to remove the filter from the tank to attempt to fix it, leave the biological filtration surface area part of the filter in your aquarium with your fish. If you clean it, or dry it out, you kill all of your beneficial bacteria and have to repeat the new aquarium cycle process which likely will result in fish illness and death. Research "Aquarium Biological Filtration" to educate yourself on this most vital aspect of fish keeping.
